Open Compass in Safari
Note: This won't work in Chrome or other browsers on iOS

Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen

Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"

Tap "Add" in the top right corner

Compass will now appear on your home screen as the following:

Tap the menu button in the top right corner
